“Growing up in a judicial household gave me a passion for defending the rights of the accused and an understanding of their journey in the justice system. I feel my upbringing will be used to craft innovative defense strategies. From working at a tree service to processing at a butcher shop, I learned the value of hard work. Taking hard hits and powering through rough conditions on the football field, I learned determination and how to be relentless in the face of adversity. For four years, I competed for one of the most hardened and demanding coaches in Monmouth College history, Coach Haynes. Pushing myself to meet his expectations and be the best on the track gave me a drive for competition. These qualities have continued through my academic and professional pursuits, resulting in me graduating 1st in my law school class at SIU. I am proud to return to my roots and work in a well-established and successful law firm.”
